After lots of uncertainty, Mason Gooding is confirmed to be returning for <em>Scream 7</em>, making him the first of the Core Four from the previous two movies to be back after Melissa Barrera's firing and Jenna Ortega's exit. Personally, I'm quite thrilled, because that could hopefully set up Jasmin Savoy Brown's return as his sister, but also see him explain Ortega and Barrera's absences, thus leaving the door open for a future sequel to bring them back.
