The new adaptation of <em>Salem's Lot </em>is finally right around the corner, currently set for a streaming-only release on Max on October 3. While I am thrilled that the movie is finally going to see the light of day after being delayed numerous times over the past two years, I am a little disappointed it's not going to be a theatrical release, as its horror aesthetic is perfect to watch on the big screen during the spooky season, especially given the majority of recent Stephen King adaptations have been streaming exclusives rather than make it to theaters.
