Asajj Ventress has never made it beyond animation in the Star Wars galaxy, and she's only been referenced once in live-action by Anakin Skywalker in 2023's Ahsoka. If she were to one day make an appearance in live-action, I'd love to see someone like Charlize Theron bring the former Sith assassin to life, as I think she could do a great job capturing the character's likeness and complexities.

Peter Griffin in Family Guy famously didn't care about The Godfather, what is your "I didn't care for the Godfather" opinion?

I love that the "I didn't care for the Godfather" sequence from Family Guy is such a meme now, but it's also a great segue into sharing your hot takes or unpopular opinions about films and TV. Mine is that I can't understand the hype surrounding Game of Thrones. Granted, it's a brilliant show, and I'm not saying it isn't, but in of the fantasy genre, I don't think there's much that is massively different to other titles. I still think it's good, but maybe not worthy of the hype it gets.

Should Star Wars use Andor's surviving characters in future movies and TV shows?

Andor is my favorite Star Wars TV show, and that has me thinking about the possibility of seeing the series' surviving characters return in the future. According to Andor's creator, Tony Gilroy, Vel is a base commander at Yavin. Kleya is now at the heart of what she helped create with Luthen. Bix has a son with Cassian that he never got to see. I would love to see some of these characters again, and I feel like Kleya would be the perfect lead for us to follow in the events that happen after Andor.

Do you like Boba Fett's old armor in The Mandalorian season 2, or his repainted armor?

When Boba Fett first retrieves his armor in The Mandalorian season 2, it's got some significant wear from being in the Sarlacc Pit. However, many agree it looked pretty cool as he took down several Imperial stormtroopers. However, later episodes saw Boba having repainted his armor and wearing black underneath, something I found to be a very impressive and intimidating look, honoring the original style while offering something sleeker for the New Republic Era.

Is The Rings of Power in jeopardy after The Wheel of Time's cancelation?

While The Wheel of Time's premature ending might be a disappointment for fantasy fans, I don't think The Rings of Power is at risk. The practical problem with The Wheel of Time is that each season was going to continue declining in viewership, and in order to complete it, they'd still have needed several more. The Rings of Power is already three seasons into a five-season plan. If Amazon wants, they could decide to wrap it up in four, and it could potentially work. Not to mention, Rings of Power is Amazon's biggest expense, and they probably won't want it to become a total failure.

Is the classic TV format making a comeback?

I recently read an article about how newer shows like The Pitt and Poker Face use a more classic TV format, and how their influence could inspire other titles to return to this structure. I half agree with this article. I think that the long production times between seasons are definitely impacting audiences' attention spans, and this is because they are so overly ambitious. Shooting something compared to reading it on the page is two different things. However, I also wouldn't consider these shows to be particularly simple or straight-forward, either.

Should The Last of Us Part II really require three full TV seasons?

I haven't agreed with all the creative choices going into HBO's The Last of Us, but I can see what they mean about splitting up the game into three separate seasons. There are natural breaking points that make for a compelling way to tell a story on television, and I think shifting the focus to Abby for season 3 will be an exciting choice. It's not often that we see TV shows shift perspectives entirely for a whole season.

Who is the baby the Rani is holding in Doctor Who's new images for this week's episode "Wish World"?

Over the last couple of days, the Doctor Who official social media pages have been sharing more images of this weekend's episode, the first half of season 15's finale, "Wish World." I have no clue who that other baby is, but I'm convinced her name will be Honey. Seeing as Poppy is also in "Wish World," and the mention of Poppy Honey in "The Interstellar Song Contest," it seems obvious. Who Honey exactly is, however, is yet to be discovered. I think she could also be Belinda, Susan, or even both somehow.

Was Leslie Knope too similar to The Office's Michael Scott in season 1 of Parks and Recreation?

I love Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation, but I don't think many will disagree with me when I say that she is a difficult character to connect with in season 1. The show is still finding its feet at this point, granted, but I see why some think Leslie is basically The Office's Michael Scott in these episodes. Yes, Leslie is awkward and quirky like Michael, but in her own way. She's not cringey, she's enthusiastic, and even in comparison to Michael "we're one big family" Scott, Leslie cares about her employees and friends a lot more.

Is Sirens worth streaming on Netflix?

I started watching Sirens for the cast, not sure if I would end up getting into the series, but it's such a fun show. For anyone who likes The White Lotus, Big Little Lies, and other shows that bring groups of stars together for a darkly comedic mystery, this is like that with a bit more silliness. I'd also definitely recommend it to anyone who's been waiting to see more of Meghann Fahy or Milly Alcock.

What was your favorite Andor Easter egg in Luthen's gallery?

In both Andor seasons 1 & 2, Luthen Rael's gallery is full of Easter eggs and connections to the Star Wars galaxy. However, one of my favorites is the Sankara stones from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. That said, the piece of mural that's seemingly connected to the Mortis gods is pretty fantastic too.

How does the first trailer of Jason Momoa's Chief of War look?

Chief of War just switched from being a show I'd never heard of to my most anticipated TV series of the summer. Jason Momoa looks great, but the real appeal here is the production value and historical intrigue. I feel like I've been introduced to a time period I previously knew nothing about, and I'm hoping it will offer an experience similar to Shogun.

Should Noah Wyle's Flynn return for The Librarians: The Next Chapter?

The world of The Librarians is about to return with The Next Chapter premiering this week, and one question on many fans' minds, like mine, is whether Noah Wye's Flynn will return for the sequel show. Given his busy schedule with The Pitt and Leverage: Redemption season 3, part of me thinks it might not have been feasible for him to return for season 1. However, since he's still an executive producer on the show, I would be surprised if he didn't pop up at some point, and I think it'd actually be really fun to have him pop up at some point for some conflict with Callum McGowan's new Librarian, Vikram.

How can the IT: Welcome To Derry teaser trailer be that terrifying and barely show Pennywise?

HBO Max's IT: Welcome To Derry has released its first trailer, and although we barely see Pennywise in it, it is still absolutely terrifying. Now, to be honest, I have an irrational fear of clowns because I watched IT when I was far too young. So anything surrounding that story is going to get to me. This is an effective trailer that gives viewers just enough to have them cowering behind their hands, but not enough to scare them out of their skin. The laughing and the silhouette at the end got me though, not going to lie.

Who should take over playing Robert Langdon for the new series?

In a surprising turn of events, Dan Brown is collaborating with Netflix and Jack Ryan's Carlton Cuse to develop a TV adaptation of his Robert Langdon book, The Secret of Secrets. Part of me is surprised given the last attempt to do so, The Lost Symbol, was cancelled after just one season on Peacock, and Ashley Zukerman was a welcome choice to play Langdon. Since the new book appears to be a proper sequel to the prior books, that would require someone middle-aged, and while it's something of an out-of-the-box choice, I actually think Patrick Dempsey would be a really intriguing pick. He's obviously got the looks, but I feel like he could also bring the inherent curiosity of Langdon to life very well.

I honestly love the theory that Godzilla x Kong: Supernova's title secretly revealed its villain.

The Monsterverse thus far has pitted both Godzilla and Kong against a number of exciting foes, both new and classic, and while I wish they would get separate movies again, I am certainly excited for Godzilla x Kong: Supernova. While plot details are under wraps, I did see a theory that the recently revealed title treatment for the movie looks to have pointed to Gigan being its main villain, and I absolutely love the idea. To begin with, this would continue the franchise's embracing of not taking itself too seriously, but would also finally give the franchise a more Godzilla-focused story, something I've felt has been missing after focusing more on Kong the past three movies.

While I like the new Street Fighter movie cast, please don't let one of them be Ken.

After a change in the creative team behind the film, the Street Fighter movie adaptation is back on track with Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo and Roman Reigns all being cast. While I do like them all for the film, I honestly hope that Centineo is not going to be Ken or Ryu, as I just don't really see him fitting the part. Instead, I'd love to see him play Guile, while Koji could play Ru, Momoa as either M. Bison or Akuma, and Reigns as Zangief.

Would you rather see Oscar Isaac play Moon Knight in Avengers 5, or Spider-Man 2099?

While one could always suggest the "Why Not Both?" option, if I had to pick, I would want to see Oscar Isaac as Moon Knight in Avengers: Doomsday. While live-action Spider-Man 2099 would be incredibly cool, I feel like Moon Knight needs his story to continue more and has fewer chances to do so, especially with the confirmation that there's not going to be a Moon Knight season 2.
