Today is National Superhero Day! And to celebrate, Marvel has confirmed Avengers: Doomsday has begun filming, but this gives them 1 year to film and do the VFX. While a year sounds like a decent amount of time, Endgame filmed in 2017 and came out in 2019. Is the movie moving too slowly?

Is Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning worth seeing in theaters?

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning has been rumored to be the final time fans will see Ethan Hunt, but who really knows for sure? This has been a big part of the marketing, but I just cannot imagine Tom Cruise stepping away from this role. The movie clocks in at nearly three hours long and should have been around two hours long instead. The plot is dragged out and there are a lot of dialogue breaks. I don't know about you, but I am going to watch a Mission: Impossible movie for the insane stunts. Thankfully, there are two epic and unforgettable sequences later in the film that make it more than worth checking out on the biggest screen possible.

Is Lilo & Stitch (2025) worth seeing in theaters?

Lilo & Stitch is a movie about family, so it is fitting that the live-action remake is being released during the summer months so that families can go and enjoy it on the big screen together. The animated is one of my absolute favorites, so I went into this one a bit cautiously optimistic (especially after the last couple of Disney live-action remakes). While there were some changes made to the story that I did not really like, overall, the film is adorable and fun. The bond between Lilo, Stitch, & Nani is at the heart of the movie, as it should be. Families are going to love this one. It is worth seeing in theaters if you are a big Stitch fan!

What is the best Mission: Impossible stunt?

The Mission: Impossible films are best known for their epic stunts. It seems that with each film, the stunt sequences get longer, more intense, and more shocking. Tom Cruise is a master at what he does. There is no doubt about that, and that man likes to put himself in danger. He is clearly someone who likes a thrill, as we have seen over and over. Which stunt is the best though? It might sound cliché to say, but it has to be the final sequence of Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. Fighting on planes while they are flying high in the sky is insane. Maybe it is recency bias setting in, but for me, I think that is the best one yet.

How do you think Supergirl might appear in James Gunn's Superman?

Even if it's at the very end, I feel like the odds are high that we'll be seeing Supergirl in James Gunn's Superman to tee up her own movie in 2026. That said, I do like the idea that she might be inside the warsuit belonging to the mysterious new character known as "The Hammer of Boravia", the idea being that she's been co-opted as a living weapon against Superman.

I feel like the Scarlet Witch's MCU arc is even worse now after Thunderbolts*

Thunderbolts* is all about reconciling with your past, moving forward and taking action so that the trauma and darkness of the past can be overcome with help from others. Convesely, I feel like that makes Wanda Maximoff's arc even worse, especially as it doesn't seem like any of the surviving Avengers came to and be there for her following the death of the Vision.

Is Superman being weak in the DCU movie a sign that James Gunn understands him?

James Gunn's Superman movie trailers have repeatedly shown David Corenswet's Superman getting beaten up and bleeding. While Superman is usually shown to be an extremely powerful hero who can't be hurt by much, I think Gunn is using this shocking move to show us how he understands the character. By giving Superman so many adversities, Clark Kent's humanity comes out more, and since that is truly the best part of the Man of Steel — his desire to do good and help others with his immense powers — James Gunn's Superman movie is on point.

Fear Street: Prom Queen has one big problem for me.

After nearly four years of waiting for it to return, Fear Street: Prom Queen has brought the franchise back, and I have mixed feelings overall. As a slasher, it's a broadly fun time, and I do love the cast in the movie. Ultimately, though, my biggest problem is how disconnected it feels from the previous trilogy. Its visual design feels so different to the point of looking bland, especially when flashbacks to the other movies are used, and the lack of references to Sarah Fier really left me underwhelmed, given how the original trilogy really highlighted that Shadyside's problems stem from her and the Goode family. Plus, the attempt to tie it back in with the creation of a new witch's mark in the mid-credits feels kind of lazy more than intriguing. I hope that if another movie is made, they bring it back to the cliffhanger teased in Part 3: 1666's post-credits.

Tony Todd's emotional scene in Final Destination: Bloodlines feels like a goodbye to his fans.

Tony Todd's last film is Final Destination: Bloodlines, and his appearance was absolutely devastating for his fans. Not only was it very clear he was sick by looking at how skinny he was, the words he spoke came off as a goodbye. Apparently his speech was improv, which does not surprise me at all, as he truly seems to be saying that he knows he is dying and has made his peace with it. He says he is going to spend time with family and live his life to the fullest until he es. I am glad that he was able to leave a message for those that loved his work so dearly.

Should Chris Evans be in more rom-coms like Materialists?

While I love Chris Evans' Captain America and definitely think it's his best role, I wish we had gotten more rom-coms from him at the same time that he was starring in MCU movies. I feel like What's Your Number? and The Nanny Diaries show the potential Evans has in the genre, and Materialists, which sees him in a love triangle with Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal, finally taps into that. Evans can play lovable, earnest characters well, and his comedic timing plus charm makes him the perfect rom-com material, so I hope he stays in the genre.

Which grounded Spider-Man villain do you want to see in Brand New Day the most?

I'm one of the MCU Spider-Man fans who's firmly rooted in the grounded street-level camp from Brand New Day. With that in mind, I'd absolutely love to see someone like Mister Negative as the primary villain, making his MCU debut and helping expose Peter Parker to the criminal underworld in New York City.

Lilo & Stitch (2025) has debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 73% after 44 reviews. This is a little bit surprising considering how well-loved the animated version is, and how good Stitch has looked in the trailers and promotions by Disney. That said, the live-action remakes tend to struggle a lot, with Disney never really finding the perfect balance between shot-for-shot recreations and new or adjusted scenes.

If you could pick any Elseworlds movie or television series, what woudl it be?

Beyond The Batman trilogy and the Joker movies, DC Studios has claimed it's dedicated to making more Elseworlds projects existing outside of the primary DCU continuity. If I had to choose, I would love to see either an animated or live-action Batman Beyond project, or a project based on the comics' recent Absolute Universe.

Are Green Lantern's powers in the Superman movie trailer what Ryan Reynolds' movie was missing?

While Ryan Reynolds' Hal Jordan did come up with some constructs of his own in the Green Lantern movie, I feel like we should have had more exciting and creative uses of the hero's power in live-action. After watching the new Superman movie trailer, Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner seems to be just the Green Lantern for the job. In the footage, we see him easily craft a giant hand to hit a truck and some soldiers. I want more constructs with personality and that look better onscreen, and Superman is doing that.

Should Bond 26 revive an Ian Fleming trend the franchise hasn't done in 17 Years?

It has been 17 years since a James Bond movie has been titled after one of Ian Fleming's books about the world's most famous spy. Daniel Craig was the last Bond to do it, with Quantum of Solace's title coming from a short story Fleming wrote in For Your Eyes Only. I believe that going back to the franchise's roots with Bond 26 would be an ideal choice, signaling that even though there has been a huge shift behind the scenes of the James Bond movies, the franchise is still anchored to tradition.

Did The Wheel of Time deserve to be cancelled after three seasons?

This is coming from someone who really wasn't into the first two seasons of the show, but season 3 of The Wheel of Time was fantastic. I was really starting to root for this show, and I'm bummed it was canceled. I understand a lot of the complaints some audiences had, but I think season 3 would have won over more book lovers if they'd gone into it with an open mind.

What is Phoebe Buffay's funniest line in Friends?

Phoebe Buffay is a fantastic character in Friends, and I don't think enough people appreciate how hilarious some of her dialogue is. Every character is funny, but Phoebe is another level, but many don't realize it because Chandler often takes the crown for the best lines. I've been revisiting some of Phoebe's best recently. "My eyes!" is a great one, for example. I also love "Your collective dating record reads like a who's who of human crap!" as well.
