Even with nearly a month gone since the show was cancelled at Disney+, The Acolyte is steadily gaining steam among Star Wars fans, with many ing the ongoing campaign for the show to be saved. This, in turn, has led many to begin sharing new theories about its connection to the rest of the franchise, with one being that Manny Jacinto's Qimir is actually a founding member of the Knights of Ren seen in the sequel trilogy. Though the fact that there are centuries dividing The Acolyte and Star Wars sequels may make this unlikely, there's a lot of evidence in the show ing this theory, particularly that Kylo Ren's theme could be heard during one of Qimir's fights. Additionally, since the season ended with the tease of Darth Plagueis watching over him and Osha, it could even be explained that Qimir was taught the means of harnessing the Force to cheat death, thus still being alive come the events of the sequel trilogy and inspiring Kylo.
