The Borderlands movie comes in the midst of the video game adaptation renaissance, in which Fallout, Last of Us and Sonic the Hedgehog have all raised the bar for the genre. While there has been some division from game fans of the movie, I think Borderlands has a chance to be an absolute blast. The casting looks to be pretty spot on for much of the cast, particularly Lilith, Tiny Tina and Claptrap, and the tone looks to be the right mix of outlandish comedy and major action to match the games.
