A recent report indicated that Marvel Studios scrapped an <em>Eternals </em>sequel, a decision audiences already expected after the lackluster critical and commercial response to the 2021 movie. Given the first movie ended with a major cliffhanger for the titular characters and setup for future things, including Mahershala Ali's <em>Blade</em>, the question now becomes whether they will return at some point in the MCU. Unless <em>Blade </em>includes one of the characters, I don't see them coming back until at least the next two <em>Avengers </em>movies or potentially <em>Fantastic Four: The First Steps</em>, due to its period setting.
