It was recently pointed out how, at one point in time, Dwayne Johnson expressed his dream role in <em>The Expendables </em>franchise to be that of the main villain in one of the films. As the franchise's future remains in doubt after <em>Expend4bles</em>' failure, I've seen some take to sharing their thoughts on how to fix the series, including the possibility of Johnson fulfilling his dream role, but I frankly don't see that working at this point. In one sense, it would be nice to see Johnson try something new and play a villain for a change, but on the other, after the critical failures of <em>Red Notice </em>and <em>Black Adam</em>, it feels like he still needs a big win to make his name have some weight to it again.
