Warning! Spoilers for Hulk #6 by Marvel Comics
Marvel Comics has unveiled the deadliest Hulk ever, as the previously teased villain is named Titan. In a brand new preview for Hulk #6, the most terrifying form of Bruce Banner is being teased, as a new variant cover shows off the twisted new Hulk. Marvel promises the Hulk will smash the Jade Giant to his core and fuel Banner's starship for the "foreseeable future."
Marvel has teased a new King in Black level threat for the Hulk as the new era for the hero continues. In Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley's current ongoing series, Bruce Banner controls Hulk like a starship, dividing his psyche into three distinct parts. The Hulk's rage is fueled by the Engine Room, where a version of the Hulk faces off against a series of escalatingly strong villains sent by Banner, with each victory making the real (and now augmented) green monster even more dangerous. In the series, Marvel teased a deadly incident in El Paso, which caused the Hulk to become an adversary of the Avengers. After escaping the superteam, the Hulk traveled through an inter-dimensional portal before ending up face-to-face with another version of Bruce Banner.
In a new tease of Hulk #6 by Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley, a new threat, Titan, makes himself known in the Marvel Universe. The issue teases Bruce Banner losing control of Starship Hulk, as his "cruelest transformation" takes the wheel. The result will be nothing but bad news for the Hulk, as the "deadliest Hulk in Marvel history" will emerge and smash the Hulk mythos like never before. Check out the variant cover for Hulk #6 by Ryan Ottley, featuring an electric look at Banner, the Hulk, and Titan.
Donny Cates is no stranger to introducing epic new villains for the series he writes, including the King in Black in Venom and the God of Hammers and the Black Winter in Thor. Titan appears to be the next insanely powerful, dark version of a hero that will cause significant problems for the Hulk. Comparing him to Knull certainly shows how strong he could be. Editor Will Moss told Marvel.com there's no stopping Titan.
“The heroes of the Marvel Universe may think Hulk is the problem, but he’s not -- THIS is the problem,” Editor Wil Moss teased. “And after HULK #6, there’s no stopping it…”
Titan looks menacing in the new tease. Can the villain overtake Banner and turn the Hulk into its own killer weapon? Readers will find out more when the deadliest Hulk ever, Titan, appears in Hulk #6 by Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley. The issue arrives in comic book stores on April 20, 2022.
