DC's live-action Titans TV show has cast another member of the Doom Patrol, with Dwain Murphy set to play Negative Man. DC's live-action Teen Titans TV series - expected to premiere this year on DC's streaming service - is rapidly adding to its cast, with plenty of recent coverage centered around the ever-expanding superhero team the Doom Patrol. After Geoff Johns confirmed their appearance on the series, the teams ranks have been steadily filling out.
In the past few weeks, we've seen the additions of Bruno Bichir as Ra's Al-Ghul.

Now, Den of Geek reports that The Strain alum Dwain Murphy has been cast as Larry Trainor, aka Negative Man. A former pilot who gained strange "negative energy" powers after a plane crash, Negative Man was one of the founding of the Doom Patrol. He is traditionally depicted as wrapped in bandages in order to protect those around him from his powers, which he cannot always control. He has appeared in various incarnations in the comics since his original appearance in 1963, from Infinite Crisis to Superboy.
The Dominican-born Dwain Murphy has an extensive list of TV credits to his name, and was seen briefly in Star Trek: Discovery as Captain Maddox, a Terran who shared a notable scene with Jason Issacs' Captain Lorca as a torturer out to avenge his sister. Murphy has also appeared in several episodes of The Mist and Degrassi: The Next Generation.
By now, the major Doom Patrol characters have been cast. The DC sidekick team led by Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly's Hawk and Dove will be ed by the Doom Patrol in Titans' fifth episode. That could be a signal that Titans will serve as a platform to launch other lesser-known DC titles into their own series.
Despite the flurry of casting news, there is no firm date for the show's premiere, nor do we even know what WB/DC's digital streaming service will be called. Still, the official images we've seen of some of DC's most intriguing characters are exciting enough to hold out hope that Titans will offer some bold storytelling choices, which would hopefully include crossover).
