The Titans stepped up to become the Earth's biggest superhero team after the Justice League formally disbanded. Just as the team embarked on their new mission, their old enemy Brother Blood, now calling himself Brother Eternity, came back and allied with the former Titan Garth. Though Eternity claimed to have turned over a new leaf, he had some devious plan up his sleeve that involved a strange alien meteorite. It was also revealed that Eternity had been corrupted by some otherworldly creature and he ed along his infection to Garth, turning him into a double agent.

While it has yet to be officially revealed, the meteorite and the creature possessing Eternity are undoubtedly connected to the Necrostar. The Necrostar is going to be the Titans' first world-threatening monster since they took on the role of Earth's protectors and it's quite the appropriate villain for them to face. The Justice League infamously fought Starro the Conqueror as one of their first villains, so it's only right that the Titans get a similar villain to face. But the Necrostar seems far more sinister and the Titans are going to have to go above and beyond if they have any hope of stopping it.

The Necrostar is the Titans' Ultimate Challenge

The Titans have fought powerful villains before, but the Necrostar is something far more insidious and destructive. It's capable of turning people against their will and, if this preview is to be believed, is stronger than some of the Titans' biggest powerhouses. Fans know that Beast Boy is going to push himself further than ever to try and stop the Necrostar, but will that be enough? Is strength enough to stop an otherworldly threat that's able to infect superhumans? The team has only been handed the Justice League's reins and now they've got to prove that they are up for the task. If they fail to stop the Necrostar, it's the entire world that's going to pay.

Titans: Beast World #1 is on sale November 28th from DC Comics.
