Michaelangelo has just become the most wanted turtle ever in new previews for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin #3. Oroku Hiroto, Shredder's grandson and current leader of the Foot Clan, is using his vast influence in a dystopian future to declare law against those who threaten his rule. There's one condition for Hiroto's hunt: He wants to be the one who kills the "beast."
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin has taken readers to a dark future where the Turtles (and Master Splinter) have been killed - with the only living member being Michaelangelo. Mikey has trained to master all martial arts in his efforts to stop Hiroto and get revenge for the deaths of his brothers. So far, it's been revealed Rafael died fighting against Oroku Karai, the daughter of Shredder (who's been in a coma ever since). Previous previews have suggested Casey Jones' death will be next to be revealed.
In has seemingly lost his mind. He tells his comatose mother he's going to show the people of New York who there master is, while demanding his speech be broadcast to everyone in the city.
In a manipulative speech, he tells the citizens of New York that he's kept them protected for more than two daces, so it's time they listen to his words. He says a monster "is in our midst" and that the coward attacked him with one goal: kill him. Calling the attack treasonous and unacceptable, Hiroto tells watchers any crime against him will be punishable by death. He also says he will track down the "beast" and personally execute himself. To top it off, he declares martial law.
Hiroto is flexing his power and control of New York. His authoritarian tactics have got him this far and now he's doing whatever it takes to kill Michaelangelo, who is his biggest threat. Hiroto has gone full dictator with his demands. With martial law declared and the Last Ronin being target number one, Michaelangelo has become the most hunted Turtle ever. Completing his mission and killing Hiroto has just got even more challenging. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin #3 is in comic book shops on May 26, 2021.
