Connections is always the best way to start a new day, and today's puzzle is ready to ruin a few players' long-standing win streaks. The word groupings in today's answers are enjoyable and take a bit of brain power to work out. MDon't let some of the misdirections fool you, slow down and focus on the words in front of you.

There are tons of different one-a-day games available for those who are looking to add to their morning routine. Games like Quordle or Squabble are fun takes on the popular Wordle, while others, like Movidle, change the game up completely and have players guessing mystery films or television shows. Whatever you may be into, there is almost definitely a daily game out there for you.

SMIDGEN

BIT

DASH

PINCH

TOUCH

Today's easiest category was the one we solved third in today's game. The words just didn't quite stand out as fast as the others did. We also wasted a few attempts trying to make TOUCH and FACE work, but that was quickly dashed after we realized it didn't make any sense.

Green Answers: Revealed & Explained

BARGAIN

BUY

DEAL

STEAL

VALUE

Green was our second category score for the day and came very quickly after we scored the blue one. STEAL and DEAL caught our attention with the way they rhyme but it was obvious what the connection was once we saw VALUE. We did make one misstep and lost an attempt trying to make DASH work in this one instead of BUY.

BALL

CHALK

CUE

RACK

Oh boy, we've got trouble, right here in River City. With a capital "T", that rhymes with "P", which stands for pool!

All these billiard words almost instantaneously popped out in our brains. CUE and CHALK were the first two but immediately after RACK came in. For a second we thought POCKET might fit since there are pockets in a pool table but it felt like BALL made more sense, so we went with that first. The whole thing paid off and we had a great start to our game.

POCKET

Thank goodness for the way Connections gameplay works. We would have probably never solved this one if it wasn't for them being our leftover words. But that is perfectly fine with me, a win is still a win (that's not a book).

I just finished reading Cassandra Khaw's Nothing But Blackened Teeth and oh boy was that a fantastic book. This has nothing to do with today's Connections but I just had to tell someone. If you did spooky stories, this is an absolute must-read!
