The word-guessing game that captured the world's attention is still going strong and the July 23rd Wordle answer could cause some players to lose their long-running win streak. There aren't any typical tricks in today's answer but there is a less common letter and without a great starting word, players may have some trouble getting the win.
It is always crucial for any Wordle player to have a strong starting word, some go as far as having two specific words they use in tandem to cover the most used letters. A standard combo needs to have every vowel and the most used letters. Oftentimes we use the combo of IRATE and POUND, this covers all the normal vowels as well as a large chunk of popular consonants. As players continue using the same Wordle combo words, they'll start learning how to proceed forward with the given hints and help decrease their guess count.

Before we fully spoil today's Wordle answer we wanted to provide a few hints for those who just need a little push in the right direction.

Today's Wordle Answer (July 23rd #764)
The July 23rd Wordle answer is WHALE.
For our starting Wordle word we used POUND which provided a lot of incorrect letters. Knowing our go-to combo the second attempt was IRATE. This locked in the two vowels 'A' and 'E' in the 3rd and 5th positions. Moving forward we tried the word FLAME, this provided a few more incorrect letters and a misplaced 'L'.
Assuming the 'L' went in between the vowels our fourth guess was SCALE. This proved our 'L' theory correct but did not supply any more letters. Our final guess came quite quickly and scored us the Wordle win-in-five with WHALE. Another successful day and another mark on our long-standing win streak. Speaking of win streaks, congrats to RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars 8 winner Jimbo, and the fan-favorite LaLa Ri as Queen of the Fame Games! They slayed and deserved all the glory!
