Ken Wakui's popular manga series Tokyo Revengers has just confirmed a new anime sequel is in the works, along with an assortment of other exciting projects. Though it has only been a year since season 3 of Tokyo Revengers finished airing, the franchise is planning to celebrate the fourth of its anime adaption with a bang, and what better way than with the announcement of the anime's renewal.

According to a post on X by AnimeTV, Tokyo Revengers is officially returning for a sequel. According to Crunchyroll, the announcement was made at a fan event and has been accompanied by a new teaser visual and an announcement video posted to Tokyo Revengers' official YouTube channel.

The new teaser visual features Takemichi embracing Mikey, both of whom appear to be quite injured while the announcement video features snippets from previous seasons, recapping the events so far. Very little has been revealed about the project other than the fact that it will be a sequel, opening the possibility of it being a movie or even a whole new season.

While it is yet to be revealed when this sequel will be released, fans can likely expect it to cover the Bonten Arc of the manga. The arc spans only 20 chapters, which by itself would not be enough to cover even one full cour based on the anime's current pacing. Many fans have entertained the possibility of the Bonten Arc being a movie, and this may indeed end up being the case with the new sequel project.

The series also has big plans for 2025 in celebration of the anime's anniversary. Another exciting project in the works is a new chibi gag series called Fairy Tale Revengers. The chibi series will be centered around retelling classic fairy tales, starting with the famous legend of Momotaro. Clearly, an exciting year awaits fans of Tokyo Revengers.
