The early reactions for Toy Story 3 returned the franchise to theaters in 2010, audiences who had grown up with these toys were treated to what was presented as a goodbye.

The emotional wrap-up for the Toy Story trilogy was also incredibly satisfying for many, which is why there was some hesitation over the announcement that Toy Story 4 was on the way. The movie went through several changes during development as different writers got involved, and the necessary continuation of this story, and now the early reactions to the film back this up.

Disney has now screened the entirety of Toy Story 4 to select of the press and allowed those who saw the film to share their reactions online. Full reviews are still embargoed at this point, but below is a collection of NON-SPOILER reactions to the sequel, including what Screen Rant's Rob Keyes thought about Toy Story 4.

For anyone worried that Toy Story 4 would detract from the incredible ending of Toy Story 3 and not deliver a similarly great story, these reactions say otherwise. They point to the film finding the right tone that is more comedic than past films, as well as putting more of a focus on new characters, like Duke Caboom (Keanu Reeves). Even with these new additions, though, the movie also works as a great potential send-off for Woody and Buzz.

These reactions are incredibly reassuring and should generate further excitement for the film in the next two weeks before it hits theaters. There's already plenty of interest, as it broke biggest opening weekend for an animated movie. And if these reactions are to be believed, then this amount of success could allow for the franchise to continue on once again.
