Fans of Pixar will want to pay close attention to certain scenes in Toy Story franchise started nearly 25 years ago when Pixar released the first ever completely computer-animated film. After two sequels and several shorts, Pixar is bringing the characters back to the big screen in a few weeks for the fourth entry of the popular series.
Toy Story 4 was originally going to be a Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom; an action figure based on a Canadian stuntman and daredevil from the 1970s. Some of the other new characters in the film include toys like Ducky, Bunny, Forky, Gabby Gabby, and Officer Giggle McDimples. Bonnie's toy collection certainly seems to be growing in Toy Story 4, but it also looks like the movie will feature some other familiar Pixar items.
At the Toy Story 4 press conference, Screen Rant discovered from producer Mark Nielsen that the antique shop in Toy Story 4 has Easter eggs from not one, not two, but all of the Pixar movies. Fellow producer Jonas Rivera then gave an example explaining that Carl and Ellie's house from Inside Out is also included.
While Toy Story 4 may have the most Easter eggs out of any Pixar film, it obviously isn't the first movie to do so. Pixar has always incorporated Easter eggs from other movies into their films, and of course the inside joke A113. Pixar has included so many of these Easter eggs that fans online have even created fan theories like teased Easter eggs in the trailers by showing Tin Toy; a character that was introduced in the 1988 short Tin Toy.
Since Toy Story was Pixar's first feature-length film, it makes sense why the company would have chosen Toy Story 4 for the jackpot of easter eggs. Additionally, an antique shop seems like the perfect place to tuck in references to other Pixar films without blatantly throwing them in the audience's face. Having this many Easter eggs could also bring diehard Pixar fans back to the theater for a second or even third viewing to try and spot all of the references. Regardless of how many Easter eggs people are able to find, the Toy Story 4 indicate that fans will be in for a fun ride regardless.
