Treyarch reported that they were removing Legacy 2XP Tokens from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, only to decide to bring them back after player backlash. Some fans stockpiled Legacy XP tokens to gain the upper hand in Season 1 of BO6, but Treyarch said these threw off the balance and caused instability. To restore that balance, they removed the use of 2XP tokens from the title entirely.
In a recent X post from the official patched it out as soon as possible. Still, this decision left fans wondering what happened and why they were taken away in the first place.
Legacy XP Tokens Were Removed From BO6 Due To "Instability"
Fans Question What Instability These Tokens Could Bring
Once Treyarch released this information, fans were excited to hear that the tokens would be coming back, though they were still unsure exactly what the instability risk factors were. While the tokens will become available again, there is a bit of a caveat for using them for now, as Treyarch is working on a fix to bring them back "correctly" in a future update.
In the interim, players can activate any legacy XP tokens in Warzone. Any tokens applied in Warzone will also apply to Black Ops 6 should you switch titles or modes.
While this is not the worst-case scenario, it is interesting that players must use Warzone to activate the XP tokens, rather than just access them the same way they had in Black Ops 6. Treyarch mentioned that they will provide more information on the status of their "future update" for the Legacy tokens next week, but for now, fans are just happy that they get to use their hard-earned tokens in some way, shape, or form.
Our Take: Is This Enough To Satisfy Players After Season 1 Nerfed Several Features?
Assault Rifles & Perks Nerfed Or Not Working Causes Mass Uproar
While this fix for the Legacy tokens has been deemed a win by the fans and even brought some players back who swore off the title due to the removal of the tokens, one can only wonder if this fix is enough. Several other issues are being brought to light by fans, which all seem to have occurred after the release of Season 1. Assault Rifles appear to be nerfed, according to players, as their once undefeatable loadout is now taking several more bullets to wreak havoc on the opposition. Will Judd, known as @wsjudd.bsky.social on the BSKY app, posted about the known issues on November 14, with many agreeing with the post.

Black Ops 6 Players Would Apparently Pay To Not See Player Skins & Death Effects After Draconic Forge Release
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players are not thrilled with the release of the Draconic Forge Mastercraft tracer pack and the impact it has on the game.
While the AR nerfs were a hot topic of conversation, the Ghost perk becoming non-functional and unequippable also raised eyebrows. While Treyarch does appear to be listening to fan and making changes based upon the players need, is this enough to bring back those who have found several bugs and issues with the title since the launch of Season 1? Only time will tell as the developers release more information on bug fixes, patches, and resolutions to the well-known issues in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
