Reimagining a franchise without its original cast is difficult, especially with one as iconic as The Twilight Saga. Fans would never forget the famous trio of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, as well as the rest of the commendable cast, who all shot to fame following their time in the Twilight films.

However, as a thought experiment, what would the films look like if they just came out today? Who would be cast if auditions were held right now? It's quite difficult to decipher which rising actors would fill the shoes of the supernatural saga's characters.

Bella: Katherine Langford

Katherine Langford should most definitely be given the chance to portray Bella Swan. Audiences have seen this young and talented 25 year-oldgradually grow into quite the impressive actor over the past few years.

Cursed, just to name a few. In particular, her role as Hannah involved a wide range of emotions, as the character grapples with indescribable pain. If she were to play Bella, Langford would similarly tackle this character's perspective skillfully.

Edward: Tom Holland

The handsome Tom Holland could no doubt nail the role of the effortlessly attractive, mysterious, enigmatic Edward Cullen. Though Holland is most well known for his current role as the MCU's Spider Man, which certainly proves his ability to convincingly play teenage characters, he has other expertise that would prove essential here as well.

The 25 year-old actor has delivered spectacular stage and film performances since an early age, with his role as Lucas in The Impossible being one of his most acclaimed. Holland's ability to capture raw emotions and draw in audiences with his status as a heartthrob all contribute to a successful recasting of the famous vampire.

Jacob: Hunter Page-Lochard

It should be noted that not just anybody should play the youthful werewolf, Jacob Black. However, Hunter Page-Lochard, a 27 tear-old rising actor of Aboriginal Australian and American descent, could effortlessly own the role. Although, similarly to how Taylor Lautner underwent a strict diet and exercise routine, any actor taking on the brawny character would have to know that they'd most likely go through that as well.

Page-Lochard is best known for his roles in Around The Block (where he starred alongside Christina Ricci) and as the lead on ABC's sci-fi drama series Cleverman. The actor has proven his wide range in both theater and film performances, and catching a big break like Jacob Black would showcase his talents even more.

Charlie: John Krasinski

John Krasinski shouldn't be underestimated for his talents as an actor. Viewers most recently saw him in the father role in A Quiet Place, which further showed his ability to portray the caring, protective dad that Chief Charlie Swan is. He is also currently the star of the political thriller series, Jack Ryan.

Charlie's character is also known for his comical moments with his daughter, Krasinski wouldn't have a problem nailing this trait. Fans of his should recall his comedic role in The Office as Jim. All-in-all, Krasinski has the ability to embrace Charlie's awkward yet sweet personality.

Alice: Margaret Qualley

The brilliant Margaret Qualley is becoming quite the formidable talent in the film industry. Her youthful face and physique, along with the variety of roles she's taken on in the past, would contribute to her success in playing the fun, smart, and caring psychic, Alice Cullen.

The 26 year-old Qualley was recently seen as Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. On top of her growing list of roles, she remarkably portrayed the wife of a detective in Amazon Prime's Seberg, alongside Kristen Stewart. Due to Qualley's background as a former dancer, she would gracefully play Alice's physical and emotional qualities perfectly. Not to mention the idea that Qualley's bright eyes would certainly look great with golden lenses.

Rosalie: Hailee Steinfeld

Gifted with her signature spunk, Hailee Steinfeld would certainly make a riveting Rosalie Cullen. Put a blonde wig on her, and the 24 year-old Steinfeld could strongly carry Rosalie's stature as well.

Romeo and Juliet. All of Steinfeld's various roles are proof that she could tackle Rosalie's hidden traits.

Emmett: Nick Jonas

Many will wonder why or how Nick Jonas could be cast as Emmett, but no one should underestimate the talent of the 28-year-old singer, musician, and actor. His big Broadway break in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying emphasized the multiple abilities he has as a performer.

Jonas's physique is another big reason why he could handle the expectations one has of a formidably built big brother like Emmett. Jonas was recently seen in both the war film Jumanji reboot, showing that multi-talented actor has the versatility to take on this part as well.

Jasper Hale: Nat Wolff

Nat Wolff certainly pursued a very different acting career than what some initially expected after seeing him portray himself in the fun Nickelodeon show, The Naked Brothers Band. But Wolff's range should be respected, as his gradual development as an actor reinforces his ability to play the soldier-like yet gentle character that Jasper is.

First of all, Wolff was seen as Isaac in Paper Towns, but he also recently nailed the role as Andrew in The Kill Team. Wolff's versatility is an encouraging sign that he could skillfully play Jasper.

Carlisle: Colin Farrell

With his young face and experiences in father-figure roles, Colin Farrell would be the perfect choice to play the peaceful doctor, Carlisle Cullen. Farrell has been in numerous genres, including action, thriller, drama and comedy. He is able to carry Carlisle's composure, and of course, a blonde hairdo would be a new look for him if cast for this role.

Farrell's underplayed but brilliant role as Travers Goff in Saving Mr. Banks included a range of emotions, and he expertly handled the difficulties the character encounters. The actor demonstrated that he could play a gentle, kind leader as a father, but it also revealed how Farrell can portray someone dealing with an internal battle, such as alcoholism. Being that Carlisle manages a lot as the leader of the Cullen Clan, Farrell wouldn't have a problem in the role.

Esme: Brie Larson

Before anyone points out Brie Larson's young age of 31 to combat the idea of her playing a mother figure, the role of Esme Cullen calls for a youthful woman. Additionally, ever since Larson portrayed Captain Marvel, the world then saw her wide spectrum of skills as an actor.

Larson has a youthful but mature semblance that easily fits the role of Esme. Aside from her MCU role, Larson showed off her acting chops as a kidnapped young mother and victim of sexual violence in Room. The actor portrays such a difficult role so effectively that this performance, if not all of her others, validates Larson's ability to play the young-looking and kind but strong mother, Esme.
