Javi’s Storm Par Company in Twisters mostly received positive reviews from both critics and audiences. With Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell leading the Twisters cast, the sequel features visually stunning tornado-chasing scenes and impressive technology.
One of the things that makes Twisters enthralling is storm chasing. The movie utilizes tornado science to tell its story, including Javi’s Storm Par tornado tracking system. However, it is worth noting that not everything about the tornado science in Twisters is accurate, but the Storm Par technology that is used in the movie is actually an advanced version of a real-life tornado detection system.

Twister vs. Twisters: Which Tornado Movie Is Better
The 2024 disaster movie sequel Twisters comes 28 years after the original released, and the two movies have naturally invited comparisons.
Javi's Storm Par Team Was Trying To Get Scans Of Active Tornadoes
Kate ed Javi's Storm Par Team
Like Jo and Bill Harding from the 1996 Twister film, Javi’s Storm Par team was trying to get scans of active tornadoes so they could use the data to help people. Javi had been the engineer who worked on the tornado detector, Dorothy, before getting a job with the military where he worked on a technology called Par (Phased Array Radar). Par is a weather radar that is used to sample different parts of the atmosphere.
Instead of just using Par to detect weather patterns, Javi had the idea of using the technology to get scans of active tornadoes. He enlisted Kate’s help so she could help his Storm Par team chase tornadoes and get the data they need to prevent future disasters. By the end of Twisters, Javi and Kate have achieved their goal, learning about tornado patterns before they can wreak havoc on the environment.
Storm Par Was Actually Trying To Profit From Towns Destroyed By Tornadoes
Javi’s Data Was Being Used To Exploit Vulnerable People
Javi had initially pitched Storm Par as a project that was meant to help people, when in fact there was more to it than met the eye. The research was funded by Marshall Riggs, a real estate shark who made money by buying land from people who had lost their houses due to tornadoes. Instead of Javi’s tornado research being used for the good he had told Kate it was supposed to do, Marshall and Scott used it to reach disaster sites before their competitors.
Marshall and Scott’s behavior in Twisters is a good example of how corporations put profit ahead of helping people...
Their whole business plan was based on exploiting people when they were not only at their emotional lowest but also needed the money to build a new life. Marshall and Scott targeted people who had no money or insurance and bought their land at a lower price than it was worth. Marshall and Scott’s behavior in Twisters is a good example of how corporations put profit ahead of helping people, giving the action movie more depth than it might seem.
