Screen Rant is pleased to present an exclusive clip from CBS' holiday film When Christmas Was Young, which celebrates the winter season with some heartwarming romance. Starring musician Tyler Hilton and musical actress Karen David, the movie was executive produced by the award-winning singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow. To sweeten the pot, Crow also wrote original songs for the story which are featured in the film.

Such a collaboration makes perfect sense, seeing as When Christmas Was Young follows a stubborn but struggling music manager named Luke Dawson (played by Hilton) who is desperately seeking a hit song for the only client left on his roster. He finds the perfect one, from which the movie derives its name, in the hands of talented songwriter Melody Douglass (David, Once Upon a Time). Though she long ago gave up hope of making it in the industry, meeting Luke may reignite her spark just as he begins to fall for her.

More About When Christmas Was Young

In Screen Rant's exclusive clip from When Christmas Was Young, Luke reveals the reason behind his cavalier attitude towards the holiday in conversation with Melody. While his parents did provide gifts, they were always very practical and never made much ado about the significance of the day. To top it all off, they're not close now that he's grown up and become a music manager rather than a doctor. Of course, he can't help but bring the banter back to his need to obtain the rights to Melody's song, which she astutely points out.

The reason for his insistence is plain to see when Melody sits down at the piano to sing, however. Her songwriting talent may not be on display with her rendition of "O Come, All Ye Faithful," but it's evident she has the voice of an angel. And while Luke earlier claimed he'd never found someone who checks all his boxes, the look on his face suggests that Melody is shaping up to not only be the answer to his musical malady but also the woman of his dreams.

When Christmas Was Young is not the only holiday fare CBS has to offer, as they recently released Must Love Christmas, in which a novelist finds herself in a love triangle amidst the winter snow. They also aired Fit for Christmas earlier this month, starring and executive produced by The Talk's Amanda Kloots. But for those looking to get into the Christmas spirit with some of Sheryl Crow's songwriting and Karen David's heavenly pipes, When Christmas Was Young is the perfect option.
