Tyler Hoechlin has made a real impression as Superman on Road To Perdition, which was Sam Mendes' follow-up to American Beauty. The movie followed Tom Hanks' hitman as he's forced to go on the road with his young son, played by Hoechlin, when his former boss targets the family. The young actor won great acclaim for his performance and managed to hold his own against vets likes Hanks and Paul Newman.

Tyler Hoechlin followed up the movie with TV show 7th Heaven, where he played the character of Martin Brewer from 2003 to 2007. Once he left the series Hoechlin jumped from various movie and TV projects, such as guest appearances on Teen Wolf, a moody TV remake of the cult Michael J. Fox horror-comedy. Tyler Hoechlin played hunky Derek Hale on the show for four seasons and later returned for a guest appearance in season 6.
