Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallström) is the violent, conflicted, and ultimately loyal member of fsociety in Mr. Robot, and his fate in season 4 is slightly ambiguous. Mr. Robot is a 2015 drama series that follows Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a cybersecurity engineer with a handful of diagnosed personality disorders that make it difficult for him to connect with others. When Elliot is recruited by Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) to fsociety, an elite group of hacktivists, he enters a world of danger and espionage. The show's four seasons gathered a cult following and earned 13 Emmy nominations with three wins and seven Golden Globe nominations with two wins.
Mr. Robot is filled with complex characters each with their own distinct personalities and arcs. One of the more fascinating characters in the series is Tyrell Wellick, a Swedish cybersecurity engineer who has traded in his terminal for the chance to climb the corporate ladder by any means possible. As one of the high-ranking executives at E-Corp, Tyrell finds himself working against fsociety in some episodes and working with them in others. Tyrell is a complicated man whose ambitions drive him. Still, his loyalty to Elliott is never in question, and it's Tyrell who provides the iconic line, "Bonsoir, Elliot," in the series premiere.

What Tyrell Wellick Actor Martin Wallström Said About His Character's Death
Martin Wallström has a lot of thoughts on his character's death in Mr. Robot and considers it a fitting end. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Wallström says about the last confrontation his character has with Elliot,
"Here, we get the missing piece of why Tyrell is so in love with Elliot: it’s that he just doesn’t care. Tyrell doesn’t have to be someone for Elliot. Elliot turns out to be almost an idol, someone Tyrell wishes he was, that he didn’t have to care about what other people think of him, to fit into this frame that he created for himself and his wife, all of it. Elliot stands for all the freedom that Tyrell really wants."
Tyrell Wellick has spent his time in Mr. Robot doing things he doesn't want to do to pursue his lofty and ambitious goals, in part to meet the expectations of others. With Elliot, there are no expectations. Tyrell can be himself and, in his last moments, he gets to tell and show Elliot just how much he cares about him.
