Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who set out to adopt as many of those babies as he could, but he only got seven. As they all developed superpowers, Reginald trained them and formed the team known as “the Umbrella Academy,” but the kids ended up parting ways. The Hargreeves reunited years later for Reginald’s funeral and to stop the apocalypse, but they failed at it and their only way out was jumping to another place and point in time – and that’s how they came across another of the 43 babies, who turned out to have some very dangerous powers.

The Hargreeves landed in Dallas, Texas, but on different dates between 1960 and 1963. Diego (David Castañeda) ended up in a mental institution where he met Lila (Ritu Arya), who turned out to be The Handler’s (Kate Walsh) adopted daughter and one of the 43 babies, and thus also had superpowers. Lila showed her talents in The Umbrella Academy season 2’s finale, where to the surprise of the Hargreeves (and the audience), she revealed that her superpower is to mimic those of others in close proximity, so she was able to teleport while battling Five (Aidan Gallagher), “rumored” Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) into almost dying, showed superhuman strength when fighting Luther (Tom Hopper), and more. Of course, she also mirrored Viktor’s (Elliot Page) powers, which she used against the Umbrella Academy. But is Lila more powerful than Viktor, Umbrella Academy's most dangerous hero?

Viktor’s Umbrella Academy powers are related to sound, as he can manipulate sound waves and convert them into energy and physical force that he can use in different ways, most notably telekinesis, flight, and force-field generation. His powers are linked to his emotions, which is why in The Umbrella Academy season 1 he had no control over them and triggered the apocalypse, but in season 2 and 3 has had better control of them and has been able to work alongside his siblings. Viktor is considered the most powerful and dangerous member of The Umbrella Academy, but when it comes to comparing his power to that of Lila, it can be tricky to determine who is the most powerful.

Viktor's weakness is his emotions, which he still has some trouble controlling, while Lila has no such problem as she only mirrors his powers, not the source of them. With this in mind, Lila could be the most powerful Umbrella Academy member, but if Viktor manages to control his feelings, he can have the upper hand. As of the end of season 3, however, none of the superpowered characters in The Umbrella Academy actually have their powers anymore. This makes the question of Lila vs. Viktor moot for the time being.

Even If Lila Were More Powerful, Viktor Is More Dangerous

Regardless of raw power, Viktor is still more dangerous than Lila, as he's been the cause of every apocalypse so far in The Umbrella Academy's timeline. The intrinsic link between his power and his emotions may give him a handicap that Lila doesn't have, but this exact factor also makes him less stable, and therefore more dangerous. The fact that all of The Umbrella Academy apocalypses are Viktor's fault means that he literally has world-ending power, while Lila has only ever been a good spy and a good fighter. Viktor's emotions may be a bit of a weakness, but if he's capable of ending the world when they're out of control, there's probably no end to what he can do as he keeps learning to handle them better.
