The collaboration between every Christopher Nolan movie stars the same actors from a select group, but many of them do. So, Holland's casting is refreshing and proves Nolan is willing to shake things up. However, Nolan won't be the only beneficiary of his new partnership, as Holland also has much to gain when it comes to the future of another film series away from the Spider-Man franchise.

Holland's cast of Spider-Man 4 confirms he's not done with playing the comic book legend just yet. His non-MCU movies have still been successful, but there's one in particular that should have a much better sequel thanks to Holland's Nolan role and the actor's reprisal of his most famous character.

Tom Holland Starring In Other Movies Is Good For His Nathan Drake Portrayal

Holland will be deeper into his career & more experienced by the time of Uncharted 2 being made

When Holland was announced as the leader of 2022's Uncharted cast, it was difficult to see his version of Nathan Drake as anything other than a slight spin on how the actor plays Peter Parker. Although Holland did appear in other projects between his MCU movies, none of them were particularly successful or high profile, so Uncharted was the first time he had a substantial number of eyes on him in another role other than Spider-Man. Unfortunately, many criticized his take on the video game character, but his coming projects can help him prepare far more before the sequel.

Presumably, Holland is so busy with Spider-Man 4 and his Nolan movie that playing Drake again has been put on hold until both projects are complete. An Older Tom Holland Might Fit Nathan Drake Better Than He Did In The First Movie

Holland's age was widely regarded as unsuitable for a live-action Nathan Drake

With two separate Tom Holland movies set for release in 2026, it seems unlikely that Sony would also drop Uncharted 2 in the same year. That is, if there is even time to make it in time for a 2026 release date. What's more likely is that Uncharted 2 will be either shot or released in 2027 or possibly after, which means roughly five years would separate the two movies. If so, this would go some way to fixing one of the biggest grievances with Holland's version of Uncharted's protagonist: he was too young to play him.

In the first Uncharted game, Drake is confirmed to be 31 years old. Holland will be in his early thirties too by the time Uncharted 2 is made, which makes the long delay seem especially necessary, if not fortunate. In an ideal world, the first movie would have been produced in the late 2020s instead, as Drake's backstory and ing characters had to be heavily altered to for Holland being cast. Thankfully, working with Christopher Nolan and also making another Spider-Man movie at least means Tom Holland can help Uncharted 2 make up for previous errors.
