Similar to any JRPG adventure, exploration and world traversal are significant elements of One Piece Odyssey, and having the option to fast travel can make one's journey much more streamlined. However, newcomers to the game will likely be confused by all the non-interactable Taxi Signs they encounter along the way during Chapter One of the main campaign. Such signposts should signify that a fast travel feature is available in-game, but the Taxi Signs offer no such service during the initial portion of the game. The reason is that fast travel is a mechanic that is not available until players have reached a certain point in Chapter Two.
To unlock the fast travel feature in One Piece Odyssey, players must complete all of Chapter One and reach the portion of the next chapter during which Luffy and his companions traverse across the Great Sandy Desert. Eventually, players encounter a Yoisa standing next to one of the Taxi Signs they have seen earlier during their journey.
This Yoisa will direct the team of protagonists to a group of enemies that Chopper claims to have been bullying the Yoisa. Accordingly, players must defeat these enemy mobs to progress onward.
Unlocking Fast Travel in One Piece Odyssey
Once Luffy and his crew have taken care of the creatures that were bullying the Yoisa in One Piece Odyssey, YouTuber Squared Phoenix Gaming states that players will be rewarded for their efforts by gaining the ability to fast travel between the Taxi Signs they have been encountering all along.
Any of the signposts they discovered in the previous areas of the first chapter in One Piece Odyssey's story will become accessible as well, allowing players to teleport seamlessly from one location to another. Of course, this feature only applies to areas that players have already explored. Any Taxi Signs adventurers have yet to find will not be accessible via the fast travel menu.
Later on, One Piece Odyssey fans will also receive the ability to traverse the world using the Crab Mover. This massive crustacean can be summoned using Crabby Port signposts that look rather similar to the Yoisa's Taxi Signs. However, the Crabby Ports are more of a means of environment traversal and region-crossing rather than teleportation from Point A to Point B. To unlock this feature, players must defeat the Banana Gator Boss that Luffy and his companions will face while exploring the area north of the Great Sandy Desert Oasis in One Piece Odyssey. It should be noted that both fast travel options become accessible after several hours into the story, so newcomers will need to be patient.
