clan in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt is key to being successful in the game.
The universe of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt is based upon the classic tabletop roleplaying game, World of Darkness. In this universe, vampires are divided into clans, each with their unique personality traits and supernatural powers. Currently, players can play as four different clans in Bloodhunt, one of which are the Nosferatu, the clan to which the Saboteur archetype belongs.
The Nosferatu clan is quite unique in the World of Darkness as, unlike all other clans, they are heavily disfigured and cannot easily live among humans in order to preserve the masquerade. Because of this, the Nosferatu often live in sewers and are very adept at keeping out of sight. Their supernatural powers often revolve around invisibility, making them excellent stalkers and trappers.
The Best Saboteur Abilities in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt
The Saboteur archetype in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt can make for an excellent stalker and trapper due to their ive ability, Unseen age. This ability provides partial invisibility while players are crouching, allowing them to stay hidden when camping and reposition while unseen. Their clan power, Vanish, will also turn them invisible and provides a massive but short speed boost, and their archetype power, Sewer Bomb functions as a grenade or mine that releases toxic gas when enemies approach it.
The Saboteur is an excellent pick for players wishing to engage in a slow and deliberate playstyle. Unseen age can be very useful to stalk other players while waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. Sewer Bomb is a very versatile ability in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt that can be used as a grenade in combat, as an ambush tool, or even as cover to retreat from prickly situations. These abilities synergize greatly with Vanish, as it allows players to quickly and safely reposition, escape or even chase down fleeing opponents.
Best Weapons for Saboteurs in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt
Although the Saboteur provides great flexibility when it comes to using a weapon effectively, they excel at medium to long-range due to Unseen age’s ability to catch enemies unaware. Sewer Bomb can also be very effective in enabling this playstyle as it can cover blindspots or provide concealment against enemies attempting to close in. Therefore, some of the best weapons in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt for the Saboteur are the Sniper Rifle, the Marksman Rifle, and Assault Rifles.
Best Resonances for Saboteurs in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt
During a game, players can find human victims across the map that can grant one of five different buffs depending on their resonance. The Saboteur benefits the most from a combination of Melancholic (purple) and Phlegmatic (teal) resonances as they lower the cooldown of their abilities, allowing them to constantly maintain control of the battlefield. If players chose to instead play the Saboteur as a guerilla hack-and-slasher, then a combination of Melancholic with Choleric (orange) can also prove to be devastating. With the low cooldown on Vanish and the enhanced melee damage from Choleric, players can weave in and out of combat, making for a powerful combat style whether they are playing solo or with friends in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodhunt.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt is available now on PC and PS5 as a free-to-play title.
