D&D Beyond for Dungeons & Dragons.

Online tools are a major help for games that have lots of rules or require a lot of bookkeeping and have a ton of information in order to play. This is why it's useful for a fantasy RPG, where there could be pages of magic items, spell descriptions, and class abilities to keep track of. Vampire: The Masquerade isn't quite as dense when it comes to the rules, as a lot of the text in the main rulebook is about the world and telling a compelling story, rather than tracking the exact flow of combat encounters. The game still does have rules for when conflicts happen, with each of the vampire clans' disciplines having its own effects, many of which require contested dice rolls. There are also lots of default character builds for NPCs that the Storyteller can call upon if needed.

The World of Darkness franchise is growing, with the tabletop RPG receiving new lines in the future. Fans will be able to access the rules for all World of Darkness games in one place in the future, as  Hunter: The Reckoning.

World of Darkness Nexus will cover most of the bookkeeping parts of the game, with its planned features including a compendium of rules and lore, an online character builder and interactive character sheet, and a digital reader. More importantly, World of Darkness Nexus will have its own online playspace, with video chat and game matchmaking, making it easier than ever to play online with others.

World of Darkness isn't the only major RPG franchise to receive an online toolset next year, as Demiplane has also signed a deal with Paizo, to produce Pathfinder Nexus the digital companion for Pathfinder. Games like Vampire: The Masquerade are more about character development, and telling dark stories about addiction to blood and losing connection to one's humanity. A rules dispute can slow a game to a crawl, which is why an online resource like World of Darkness Nexus will be useful, as it will allow any rules conflicts to be resolved swiftly.
