Even though both Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens have since been fired for their ignorant thoughts their scenes were significantly cut by Bravo before the season aired. According to TMZ, Vanderpump Rules producers knew that the boy's racist tweets would cause problems for them in the future. The network decided to immediately start phasing the manager and waiter out. The outlet reported that a source close to the show’s production had already wrapped filming in January when the old tweets were unmasked. The producers had to scramble behind the scenes to re-edit episodes so they could air Boyens and Caprioni less.

It was revealed that portions of the boy’s footage were either replaced or just left on the cutting room floor. The same went for both their confessionals. The tweets were from 2011 and 2012 but producers had already made the decision that they would not be back for a second season after using the n-word in tweets. The matriarch, Lisa Vanderpump took a lot of heat for the fact that she continued to staff Boyens and Caprioni. She felt they were not the same men who had tweeted those insensitive words. She has since released a statement that expressed her disappointment with her staff, saying that everyone “deserves to feel safe.”
