An artist has shared a piece showing what Woody Harrelson could look like as Carnage in was originally scheduled for this October, it is now releasing in June, 2021.
Carnage first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #361, though Cletus Kasady appeared before that. Carnage, in a couple of ways, might be seen as Marvel's version of the Joker. Artist Erik Larsen even said he designed Kasady off of Joker. Carnage isn't as mainstream as Venom, but remains one of the more popular Spider-Man villains. He was the major antagonist in the multi-series epic, Spider-Man: Maximum Carnage, and more recently, Absolute Carnage. Surprisingly, the Cletus Kasady storyline has only been adapted once in other media. Spider-Man: The Animated Series is the only media outside comics to feature this. Venom: Let There Be Carnage will likely change this. Woody Harrelson is playing the character, as revealed in the mid-credits surprise of 2018's Venom. Sadly, Sony has not unveiled what the Carnage symbiote will look like. One artist has given fans a look into how the character could appear.

It's hard to picture Sony deviating too much from Carnage's classic look in the film. In the comics, Carnage has a slimmer build than Venom, like in the fan art, and different eye design, among other smaller aspects. Carnage's appearance and demeanor give off the impression he is a maniac, someone who utterly enjoys killing. This is something fans are likely hoping is adapted well.
There have been Instagram posts with Spider-Man fan art are suspicious, but fans shouldn't raise their hopes since a Spider-Man appearance is only rumored. It's not known when the first trailer will release, especially now that the film is delayed eight months. Fans will have to wait and see, while enjoying different artwork in the meantime.
