The world has fallen in love with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and now Hot Toys is bringing fans a mash-up they never imagined possible... with the announcement of their life-size Venomized Baby Groot figure.
With his adorable mannerisms, it comes as no surprise that Groot has become one of the most fan favorite characters in Marvel's Universe, delighting hardcore and casual fans alike. That popularity has seen the sapient tree featured in other places, like the latest season of the newest Spider-Man TV show specifically titled Venom himself. and now, fans can bring that incredible idea into reality.
The company is well known in the collectors community for that ever famous Venom tongue to be swapped in and out, giving even more variations for display.
Playing more into his plant based roots (pun fully intended), the figure also comes with interchangeable Venomized venus fly traps that can be placed as if they are growing out of Groot (with their ferocious teeth as an added weapon to his arsenal). Previously mentioned above, this figure is life size, measuring in at about 9.8 inches (or 25 centimeters) tall, making it feel like fans really are bringing this tiny guy home with them. The piece also comes with a stand to help display the figure, fitted with the Spider-Man: Maximum Venom logo as well as some plant like graphics. Sadly, no official date on when one can bring him into their collection is known yet, however it is expected to release in late 2021 or early 2022.
