Ragnar, Lagertha, Rollo, Floki, and many more characters.
Vikings initially followed legendary Norse figure Rollo (Clive Standen), and his best friend Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) – from the beginning of the Viking age, marked by the Lindisfarne raid as seen in season 1, onward. The series gradually shifted its focus to Ragnar’s sons and their own journeys, especially Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) and Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig).
The series is currently in its sixth season, which has already had big doses of action and heartbreak, as viewers saw the legendary shield maiden, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), die by the hand of a hallucinating Hvitserk. Vikings season 6 is now on a break, so when will the series be back and what can viewers expect from part 2?
Vikings Is Ending With Season 6 Part 2
Unfortunately, Vikings season 6 part 2 will be the series’ final batch of episodes. Although there’s no concrete reason behind the decision to end the series, it’s very possible Vikings is coming to an end due to a decline in viewership – especially after Ragnar’s death. Ultimately, there’s only much that can be taken from history, and as there aren’t many historical records on most characters, the series had to end at some point before everything turned into full fiction.
When Vikings Season 6 Part 2 Will Be Released
Vikings season 6 consists of 20 episodes split into two parts. The first 10 episodes aired from December 4, 2019, to February 5, 2020, and fans had to wait a long, long time to know what’s going to happen to Bjorn and the rest. In December 2020, it was announced that Vikings season 6 part 2 will be released on Prime Video on December 30, and luckily for fans, they won't have to wait between episodes as all 10 of them will be available to stream.
What Will Vikings Season 6 Part 2 Story Be
By the end of the first part of Vikings season 6, Bjorn was lying on the floor after being stabbed by Ivar, and Harald is also presumed to be dead. Meanwhile, Ubbe and Torvi are in Iceland looking for Floki. Vikings season 6 part 2 will see Björn fighting to survive, Ubbe trying to find the golden land, and Ivar's battles will continue as he wants to be ed as the greatest Viking to ever live. The final episodes will also have to answer some of the biggest questions Vikings fans have right now: will Bjorn survive, what happened to Floki, and who will take the throne of Kattegat.
