The Voice season 22 is gearing up for its season premiere on September 19th, with new coach Camilla Cabello stirring up trouble with her fellow coaches as they battle it out for the best singers to be on their team.

Like many other talent shows, contestants who don't finish first place often become successful recording artists and songwriters. Still, others disappear entirely from the public eye and leave their music careers behind. This remains true for the contestants of season 21 as they have moved on from The Voice and a new crop of talent take on the popular singing show.

Holly Forbes

Holly Forbes stunned the judges with her four-chair turn-worthy performance of "Rocket Man" by Elton John, and while it seemed Holly would make it to the finale, she didn't drum up enough votes to make it past the top 10.

Even though she didn't take home the grand prize, Forbes has not given up on music and often performs at music festivals around the country. According to her Instagram (@hollyforbesmusic), Forbes is content with releasing covers of her favorite songs and being a mom to her two kids.

Jeremy Rosado

While there are many things about The Voice that fans think are fake, one thing that couldn't be fabricated was Jeremy Rosado's talent. Since being on the NBC show, Rosado has announced that he has been signed to a record contract with Capitol's Christian music division, which may not have happened if he won the show.

According to Rosado's Instagram (@iamjeremyrosado), Rosado is going on tour in October 2022. On the show, Rosado shared his dream of becoming a Christian artist, and now he is living his dream.

Lana Scott

Lana Scott has had a lot going on since she was eliminated from the top eight of The Voice. According to her Instagram (@ameasureoflana), the country singer has released her first single, "Country Girl Guarantee," has gotten engaged, and is still doing live performances.

The singer's unique voice has characteristics that captured the attention of The Voice, Blake Shelton, and made her stand out from other country artists on the radio. Even though she didn't take home the trophy, Lana's career is set for stardom.

Jim & Sasha Allen

As The Voice has grown as a series, the show has become more open to letting duos and groups audition, which is not often seen on many other talent shows that focus on singing. The father-son pair provided a breath of fresh air for the series with their unique twist on their audition song that had the judges battling for them to be on their team.

According to their Instagram (@speanknowsasha), Sasha is living life as a typical 21-year-old, while his dad (@jimallenmusic) has been pursuing activism and still performing once in a while.

Joshua Vacanti

Joshua Vacanti shocked the judges and viewers alike with his song choice of "Into The Unknown" from Frozen 2 since Disney songs are not often used for audition songs on the show.

Since being eliminated from Team Legend, Vacanti has been recording music as an independent artist. He can't wait to release more music for his fans to hear, based on his recent Instagram (@joshuavacanti) posts. Joshua enjoys the freedom of being an independent artist, like working with people from his past and helping them break into the music industry.

Jershika Maple

Jershika Maple had one of the most powerful blind auditions in recent The Voice history with her soulful and swoony voice. Even though she didn't win one of the best TV talent shows of all time, Maple hasn't let the loss affect her love of music or her pursuit of making a living as a musician.

According to her Instagram (@jershika_) has been touring churches singing Christina music while releasing her own singles. Maple has had several opportunities to open for big-name artists. Jershika's star only seems to be getting brighter since the show.

Hailey Mia

Hailey Mia is one of the youngest people, at just 13, to compete in the adult version of The Voice and stunned the judges with her powerful voice at such a young age. Since being knocked out of the show after making it to the top four, the teenager has announced on her Instagram (@officialhaileymia) that her debut single is on the way.

Hailey has been busy since being on the show, with most of her posts promoting her music career or featuring her in the recording studio working on covers she plans to release before her album.

Paris Winningham

Season 21 of The Voice may feature the most Christian-based singers of any season, with Paris Winningham coming from a church background. According to his Instagram (@paris_winn37), Winningham is working as a professional singer and songwriter, which comes as no surprise since most of the contestants that finish within the top five are able to make music their profession.

In fact, one of The Voice's biggest behind the scenes secrets is that its most successful artist never even won the show! Winningham has continued his career by performing in churches and motivating his followers to chase their dreams and manifest what they want in life.

Wendy Moten

Wendy Moten may have finished second on season 21, but that hasn't stopped the singer's career from flourishing. According to her Instagram (@wendymoten) has been on tour with country singer Vince Gill and had been releasing covers of her favorite songs for fans to enjoy. Moten's audition earned her a four-chair turn that instantly gained her fans on the show, which has helped to boost her career even farther than it already was when she auditioned for the show.

Artists who are already established in the music industry, like Cassadee Pope, have auditioned and even won the show before, which has led fans to question the show's legitimacy. In Moten's case, she was a background singer who had yet to make a solo impact on the industry.

Girl Named Tom

As fans of The Voice know, winning the show does not guarantee automatic success for the artists; however, Girl Named Tom doesn't seem to be struggling to make a name for themselves outside the show. With over a million streams of their music, the band from Team Kelly is on tour and sharing their love for their fans on their Instagram (@girlnamedtom).

The group has yet to announce an album or single being released, but they have continued to write original music and play the songs on tour.
