AMC's most-watched cable drama of the 2019-2020 television season, and its talented ensemble cast is a huge part of what draws in viewers to the post-apocalyptic zombie drama, year after year. Whether it's veteran actors like Jon Bernthal or newer ones like the adorable Cailey Fleming, the show wouldn't be the same without them.

The series approaches the end of yet another season, and fans prepare for a long break from the characters that they know and love. Let's take a look at a list of some of the cast's most memorable roles to watch during the hiatus.

Andrew Lincoln: Mark - Love, Actually

It's hard to forget one of the most famous moments in romance movie history. Andrew Lincoln stars in the beloved ensemble cast rom-com, Love Actually, as the quietly love-struck, Mark, who struggles with being head over heels for his best friend's wife. While the storyline has provoked criticism from the actor himself, the "to me, you are perfect" scene has stuck in the hearts of audiences since 2003.

Sarah Wayne-Callies: Sara - Prison Break

Her days in prison as Lori Grimes were short-lived in The Walking Dead, but Sarah Wayne-Callies spent a lot of time in a different prison altogether in the hit drama, Prison Break. Dr. Sara Tancredi—later Sara Scofield—starts out the series as the comionate but somewhat aloof and unflappable prison physician, and is the eventual, long-term love interest to prisoner Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller).

Dan Fogler: Jacob - Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them

Prior to playing the softhearted ex-music teacher in The Walking Dead, he was a 1920's New York banker in the Harry Potter spin-off franchise Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Jacob Kowalski is a skeptical but lovable No-Maj who becomes a fast friend to Newt after his arrival in America. Fogler appeared in the sequel film and is also set to star in the third installment of the series.

Jon Bernthal: Frank Castle - The Punisher

Jon Bernthal has graced the screen in multiple critically acclaimed films such as Sicario and Baby Driver, but his most significant role comes after his stint as the hotheaded and reckless Shane from The Walking Dead. Since his character's demise in season two, Bernthal has taken up a new mantle in Netflix's The Punisher as the gritty Marvel hero and tortured vigilante Frank Castle.

Samantha Morton: Margaret Wells - Harlots

Samantha Morton chilled fans to the bone as the ruthless Whisperer leader, Alpha, but she is a bit more recognizable without her character's signature shaved head. Her most prominent role in recent years is the confident and business-minded Margaret Wells from Hulu's Harlots. Set in the 18th century, a London bawd runs a successful brothel to make a life for her daughters and young son, in this historical drama.

Norman Reedus: Murphy MacManus - Boondock Saints

Irish Catholic brothers, Connor and Murphy MacManus take matters into their own hands as they seek to cleanse the crime-ridden streets of Boston from the filthy clutches of the Russian mob.

Reedus stars as Murphy MacManus, one of the "righteous" brothers, nicknamed by the media as "The Saints." Also starring Willem Dafoe and Sean Patrick Flanery, this late 90s action thriller is a cult classic.

Steven Yeun: Keith - Voltron Legendary Defenders

Fans were sad to see Glenn leaves The Walking Dead in season six, but, since then, he's been steadily working as a voice actor for Dreamworks. The latest incarnation of Voltron, originally adapted from a Japanese animated series in the 1980s, Legendary Defenders, follows five skilled pilots who get swept up in a galactic war. Yeun plays Keith, a brave but hotheaded prodigy, and "paladin" of the Black Lion.

Danai Gurira: Okoye - Black Panther

Not content to play only one badass warrior in her lifetime, Gurira is the fierce and heroic Wakandan general, Okoye, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Black Panther.

Okoye is unshakably loyal and is not easily swayed by emotion. She is ready to lay down her life for her home but struggles with her set-in-stone values when Killmonger takes over Wakanda's leadership from T'Challa.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan: John Winchester - Supernatural

Who would Sam and Dean Winchester be without dear old Papa Winchester? Jeffrey Dean Morgan has only appeared as the neglectful but well-meaning John Winchester in 14 episodes of the immensely popular, long-running show, but his presence is felt consistently throughout the series. His sons are constantly either trying to find him, save him, or dealing with the trauma from growing up with him.

Khary Payton: Cyborg - Teen Titans

One of the most surprising actors on the list is the theatrically inclined, kindhearted King Ezekiel himself. Khary Payton has a longstanding voice acting career and has played Cyborg in multiple animated series over the past 20 years. The most popular ones are Teen Titans, and Teen Titans Go, which revolves around a team of young superhero roommates working out petty squabbles when they're not fighting crime.
