The newest Fear The Walking Dead.
Although the show has lost multiple series mainstays like AMC's next The Walking Dead-related idea.
Announced earlier today by Walking Dead spin-off will be titled World Beyond and, although not much information is given about the show's plot or timeline, it appears to take place years after the events of both Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead itself, insinuating this new show will comprise of main characters who grew up during the zombie apocalypse. A short teaser video was released by AMC to coincide with the show's announcement and is embedded below:
With the inclusion of a helicopter, suited troopers, and some kind of mysterious logo on the front of a character's jumper, one can only assume civilization has made some significant strides towards restructuring itself since the events of The Walking Dead. While more information is sure to leak out of AMC ahead of the show's February 2020 release date, right now all fans have to go on are the few tidbits the trailer provides, leaving much room for rampant speculation.
It's rather surprising AMC is continuing to move forward with additional Walking Dead spin-off television shows, since the ratings for the original have been steadily declining for the past few seasons. Although some fans can't help but to tune in each week to see what new horrors await the citizens of Alexandria, the Hilltop, and Sanctuary, surely many others are beginning to feel the woes of zombie fatigue setting in, much like the show's characters themselves. Only time will tell if viewers will flock to this new show as adamantly as they did to The Walking Dead and it's first sister show, Fear The Walking Dead, as they did when it first appeared.
