The iconic claymation duo is back in Wallace & Gromit movies take ages to make due to the meticulous attention to detail and the difficulty of making claymation films, and it seems even longer in an age where computer effects pump out movies at a rapid pace.

The late Peter Sallis gave his talent to the iconic voice of Wallace in the original Wallace & Gromit movies before ing away in 2017. The new actor, who's voiced the character before in video games, makes his debut as Wallace in film in Vengeance Most Fowl. As usual, Gromit doesn't speak, primarily emoting with facial expressions and gestures, meaning there's no voice actor behind his character. The same goes for the mastermind villain, Feathers McGraw, who makes his grand return in the new movie.

Ben Whitehead as Wallace

Actor: Ben Whitehead is a voice actor from Cheshire, England, who began working at Aardman Animations, the studio behind Wallace & Gromit, in 2003. In 2005, he had his first acting role in Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit as the voice of Mr. Leaching. He voiced Wallace for the first time in the 2009 video game Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures before coming the primary voice for the character following Peter Sallis' death. He's also done some work in voice acting for notable video game franchises like Anno and Total War.

Character: Wallace is best defined as an eccentric inventor, and he begins the film struggling as the bills pile up due to his inventions not finding commercial success. He lives with Gromit, his trusty pet and sidekick.

Peter Kay as Chief Inspector Albert Mackintosh

In 2006, he appeared in the Doctor Who episode "Love & Monsters" as Abzorbaloff. He's reprising his role as PC Mackintosh from The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, where he first played the character.

Character: Chief Inspector Mackintosh is a veteran police officer who guides Mukherjee throughout the film. He advises her to trust her gut, but he himself has poor instincts when it comes to police work, and is known for taking credit for others' accomplishments.

Reece Shearsmith as Norbot

Actor: Reece Shearsmith is an English actor and comedian who began his career with The League of Gentlemen stage act before it was adapted into a TV series. Out of the cast of Vengeance Most Fowl, he's had the strongest career in film and television roles. He appeared in two movies in Edgar Wright's Cornetto trilogy, Shaun of the Dead and The World's End, blockbusters like Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and recently, the film Saltburn. On television, he's appeared on hit shows like Good Omens, 3 Body Problem, and Foundation.

Character: Norbot is Wallace's latest invention, a robot built to resemble a garden gnome who automates household tasks and chores. He becomes a rival to Gromit.

Lauren Patel as PC Mukherjee

Actor: Lauren Patel is an actress from Manchester who made her first movie appearance in the Prime Video film Everyone's Talking About Jamie. She's only been working in the film and television industry for a few years, but she's already accumulated a decent resume, including the TV series Lloyd of the Flies, which is developed by the same studio as Wallace & Gromit. Vengeance Most Fowl is her biggest movie yet, and it'll be exciting to see where she takes her career next.
