A new trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, respectively.
The Disney+ series is finally drawing near and Marvel has been busy promoting WandaVision with multiple posters that tease the numerous decades the show is set in. But, plenty of mysteries still remain about the plot of the show, such as how Vision is still there after Scarlet Witch destroyed the Mind Stone during Infinity War. Previous trailers saw Vision face the possibility of him being dead, and now a new trailer shows the destruction of the Mind Stone again.
As part of Disney's Investor Day 2020, Marvel Studios released a new trailer for WandaVision that focuses on Wanda and Vision's new suburban lives. The footage includes new looks at several of the familiar MCU characters who will appear and sets up a storyline of the two Avengers fighting to protect their current home, wherever it might be.
The second WandaVision trailer is packed with brand new footage for the series, although Marvel Studios is still doing an excellent job not revealing too much. Wanda watching the Mind Stone explode again is likely a result of how she is trying to process the loss of Vision in the real world. While the PTSD from such an event was a reason many fans believed Wanda created this altered reality she and Vision now exist in, all of the marketing has people asking who is doing this to Wanda. So, her new life might not totally be in her control.
With so many questions still remaining, fans will likely be left with them all heading into WandaVision's premiere in January. Marvel Studios has now released multiple trailers for the show and the level of mystery that surrounds it is not an accident. There is clearly a lot of information Marvel is hiding and hoping to keep a secret until WandaVision is out. This new trailer showed more of the series than previously seen, but the actual plot continues to evade the trailers. More marketing materials only increase the chance of Marvel slipping up or fans connecting additional dots. But, with WandaVision right around the corner and another solid trailer released, fans should be able to withstand the lack of additional marketing materials.
