Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) is a regular person so far on S.W.O.R.D., an extra-governmental intelligence agency. She was assigned to a missing person case in Westview, New Jersey, but soon discovered that there was much more to be discovered about the town.

Upon arriving in Westview, Monica met police officers who denied its existence. She discovered that Westview had been cloaked in an invisible energy field, hiding it from view. Monica's curiosity got the best of her, and she reached out to touch the field, which quickly sucked her in. She found herself in a bizarre black-and-white 1960s sitcom world. Adopting the alias of Geraldine, Monica attempted to blend in with the rest of the cast, and befriended Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) in the process. Her undercover mission was cut short when she accidentally divulged details of Ultron's attack, uncovering her ruse. Wanda was quick to violently cast the interloper back out to reality.

After recovering from literally breaking the fourth wall, Monica returned to work. Despite her rough exit from the sitcom world, she was determined to find a way back inside. Her plan to use energy blasts to do so was familiar to those familiar with Marvel comics. In the comics, Monica is currently known as the superhero Spectrum. In the past, she has had several other alter-egos, like Photon, Pulsar, and even held the title of Captain Marvel. Her scheme to get back to Westview closely resembles her superhero origin from the source material.

Monica Rambeau WandaVision

Monica has already felt the brunt of Wanda's reality-altering powers, possibly altering her DNA in the process.

Monica becoming Spectrum, or any of her previous superhero aliases, would give S.W.O.R.D. a leg up in the struggle to reach Wanda. Their past confrontations with her have gone poorly for the agents, and their manpower is dwarfed by Wanda's wide array of abilities. A superpowered Monica could confront Wanda directly, and they may be evenly matched in of electric manipulation. WandaVision has proved time and again that anything goes, and an all-out battle between Monica and Wanda may not be entirely out of the question in the future.
