The new Call of Duty's mid-season roap, including Die Hard's Nakatomi Plaza and Rambo-inspired Survival Camps. Along with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's own mid-season update, Season Three Reloaded is live in Warzone.
After Verdansk was nuked and Call of Duty: Warzone got a litera; blast from the past, players have been fighting in the battle royale's new 1984-set remodel of Verdansk. Following series like '80s Action Heroes trailer.
In official patch notes Three new POIs have been added to Verdansk for a limited time. Nakatomi Plaza from Die Hard is one, adding Nakatomi Corporation’s headquarters into Verdansk’s Downtown area. There are also be numerous Rambo-themed survival camps to find around Verdansk, an homage to Rambo: First Blood Part II. Also, one of the aircraft hangers in northwest Verdansk has been converted into a CIA Outpost, the home base for operatives tracking down Rambo.
Additionally, two sets of nine challenges are part of the ‘80s Action Heroes event, which began today, May 20. There is also be a Hollywood action film-inspired game mode that dials up the intensity of the battle royale genre. Players will get to test the game mode while exploring new points of interest in Verdansk fit for an ’80s action hero.
Warzone will also be getting a visit from John Rambo and John McClane, two of the ‘80s most iconic action movie heroes. Rambo hasn’t quite drawn his last blood and will be available for purchase in the Warzone store as an operator bundle including two finishing moves, and three legendary weapon blueprints for an assault rifle, an LMG, and a knife. Meanwhile, the Die Hard bundle comes with the recently revealed John McClane operator, a finishing move, and three legendary weapon blueprints, as well as a calling card, emblem, an epic watch, and a charm. Both bundles are only available until June 18.
Overall, Season Three Reloaded is an exceptionally large update even by Warzone's high standards. As the coat of paint plastered over Verdansk doesn't quite make the game feel like the game has actually moved to the '80s, perhaps the new throwback Rambo and Die Hard operators and a classic action movie location like Nakatomi Plaza can make Warzone's new setting more believable.
