Wednesday season 2 is coming very soon, and Tim Burton's reimagining of The Addams Family is already one of the biggest Netflix original series of all time. Directed by Burton and starring scream queen Jenna Ortega in the title role, Wednesday’s first season follows Wednesday Addams as she’s sent to Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for supernatural “outcasts.” Season 1 primarily consists of the title character learning to adjust to her new school while solving a murder mystery that impacted her parents 30 years ago.

Wednesday was an instant success for Netflix, and it even started a few social media trends that helped get more eyes on the series. This made a sophomore season an absolute necessity, and the renewal order came fast and furious from the streamer, who hoped to strike while the iron was hot. The story left a lot unresolved as well, and Wednesday's new threatening stalker opens the door for a more personal story for the Addams' only daughter. It's also been promised that Wednesday season 2 will be even more supernatural, suggesting a host of scary twists are coming soon.
