What's Happening With Olivia & Brendan Now?
Olivia Got Cryptic Recently, Posting About Men
In a recent Instagram clip, which unfortunately couldn't be embedded or screen-grabbed, Olivia sounded off about men, strongly implying that she'd found a good one after a bad marriage, so it's likely that she and her new beau are still an item. She contrasted the actions of open-minded men with those of "Christian Nationalist" males, claiming she used to be the wife of one of those. Ethan often seemed to be kind to his wife before things fell apart, but as per her comments below, the union was always too old-fashioned:
I was married to a Christian Nationalist and this is my solidarity for other women in similar relationships who are wondering if men exist who will hear them, them and respect them. They do exist.
And it’s okay to end relationships over politics, because it’s a much bigger picture at the end of the day. What was once a group of conservative, christian men has turned into a christian nationalist group full of anger, violence, disrespect and harmful intentions thanks to the grooming from their idols like Trump, Ben Shapiro, Andrew Tate, Matt Walsh, Jordan Peterson.
If you are in a relationship like that, you deserve better. And it’s out there. I wish for you the self confidence to believe it and the hope to find it 🫶🏼
Once again, Olivia goes for big-time drama, stirring the pot like nobody's business. Her ex is currently heartbroken, and seemingly pining over her. In fact, he went on a cross-country motorcycle trip, all by himself, in order to try and recover. That doesn't stop Olivia from putting him down, and her criticism may be valid.
However, it gives the impression of someone kicking another person when they're down.
Olivia is clearly an extremely bitter woman, although she remains productive and adventurous. She does look back on the past now and then, but maybe she doesn't dwell there too often. She's a woman who likes to embrace change - that's why she was the one who didn't want to reconcile with Ethan. He tried, but he wasn't a part of her plan for the future. While Olivia's confidence and ability to speak her mind are undoubtedly impressive, she may benefit from softening her remarks sometimes. No one is perfect.
In fact, Olivia seemed quite selfish in her relationship, calling to mind Kim at her most obnoxious. Maybe she forgets that she also erred in her marriage. Ethan put a lot on the line for her - in fact, he became estranged from his entire family for her sake. Although the duo are better off apart, and Olivia seems happy with her new man, both could benefit from avoiding posts that are basically akin to rap "diss tracks." Smart people learn to adjust to new circumstances. The Welcome to Plathville star Olivia shouldn't revisit troubled situations night and day.
Welcome To Plathville airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on TLC.
