Kyle captioned the picture “#cuz,” hinting he was posing with his cousin in the selfie. He posted a few additional photos on his Instagram in Montana, revealing that Kyle hasn’t stopped traveling since Below Deck season 11.

While Kyle and Barbie’s boatmance has fizzled out, he’s remained close with his other Below Deck season 11 co-stars. He has great friendships with his deck team, including Ben and Sunny Marquis, who have stayed together since forming their boatmance. When Dylan Pierre De Villiers alleged Sunny got promoted because she was sleeping with Ben, Kyle congratulated her and stuck up for her. Kyle and Ben got along great during the charter season and bunked together as roommates. Though they lived in close quarters on St. David, they’ve continued to stay close since the season wrapped.

The deckhand had a great journey on Below Deck. He ed Captain Kerry’s crew with only one year of yachting experience. Despite a lack of industry knowledge, Kyle was incredibly open to . He worked closely with the rest of his deck team and applied when given. Towards the beginning of the season, he feuded with the original Bosun, Jared Woodin, after a night out drinking. Kyle dropped tobacco near St. David’s hot tub, which angered Jared. Instead of letting the deckhand clean up his mess in the morning, he incessantly urged Kyle to tidy up.

“I’m not throwing anybody under the bus.”

During their dispute, they woke up Captain Kerry. He was rightfully upset with the guys and asked for their view on the situation the morning after. Kyle itted that he had “left a mess” and didn’t blame his faults on Jared. He steered clear of drama throughout the rest of the season, aside from his boatmance with Barbie. After they hooked up, she ignored Kyle because she was worried her father would be disappointed in her actions. Barbie continued to it she didn’t usually date deckhands and was unsure if they would last.

Kyle and Barbie went their separate ways after a hectic last night out. At the end of Below Deck season 11, she felt attacked by Stew Xandi Olivier, who said she would've fired Barbie if she was Chief Stew. When Kyle did not jump to her defense, Barbie had a drunken breakdown and fled St. David. She told him to change his flight and not travel to Miami with her, despite telling each other “I love you” the same night.

There is a lot of speculation Kyle will return for Below Deck season 12. While the cast hasn't been confirmed, Reddit svCatchinRays2 posted a video of the St. David and some of its crew filming. While it was clear that Captain Kerry and Chief Stew Fraser Olender were on board, it’s been speculated Kyle was also on the superyacht in the video. Additional pictures posted by Reddit Darcybby show a still of Kyle in a camera monitor filming for the season.

While his return to the franchise hasn’t been confirmed, it would make sense for Captain Kerry to bring him back. Kyle knows how his captain runs superyachts and has prior experience working on St. David. Aside from his skills as a deckhand, he became a fan-favorite crew member during his stint on Below Deck season 11. He was incredibly unproblematic throughout the season, and there’s no good reason Kyle shouldn’t return.

Since Below Deck season 11, Kyle has been traveling and moving on from his relationship with Barbie. The deckhand was a beloved crew member during his time on the show, hinting that he could return for future appearances with the franchise. Despite no confirmation, Captain Kerry likely asked Kyle back for Below Deck season 12.
