EDITOR'S NOTE: This article is for Wordle answer #353; the June 7th Wordle answer is available now.
Today's turn on Wordle's Hard Mode which requires a little more critical thinking from the player. Hard Mode locks in letters that have already been proven correct or incorrect and stops players from just guessing random words. This is a sure-fire way to lower the number of guesses that it takes to get a Wordle since there are no wasted guesses allowed.
The most important tip that players need when attempting a daily Wordle is to have a strong starting word or combination of words. This can easily set the tone for the entire game. Words that contain multiple vowels or very common consonants are vital to getting the correct answer in a small number of guesses. Keeping the starting word consistent throughout can also help players become more accustomed to knowing where to go from their starting word, the old "practice makes perfect" motto. However a player chooses to start though the main thing to is that Wordle is a game to enjoy, there's no glory in cheating and showing off the answer on social media. Sometimes we can all use a hint for the day, and no one wants to lose their long-running streak, but with perseverance, and a little critical thinking, any Wordle can be a win.

Today's Wordle Answer (June 7th #353)
The June 7th Wordle answer is FLOOD.
Quite a common word and one that most players shouldn't have too much trouble with, the only thing that threw us off today was the double vowel. For our starting Wordle word, we used IRATE which only provided a bunch of incorrect letters that didn't belong in the answer. Whenever this happens we like to combo the first guess with another vowel heavy word so our second guess was WOUND which covered the missing two vowels. This provided the correct placement for 'D' and an incorrectly placed 'O'. Since all the other vowels had been proven incorrect the assumption came that it must be a double 'O' word, our third guess was BLOOD. This verified our hypothesis and led directly to the correct answer and a Wordle win in four with FLOOD.
