EDITOR'S NOTE: This article is for Wordle answer #419; the August 13th Wordle answer is available now.
August 12th has provided puzzle fans with another new Wordle does offer a Hard Mode inside the options of the game. This forces players to use the clues previously given and locks out letters that have been proven incorrect. Hard Mode is definitely a good way to decrease the number of guesses it takes to solve a Wordle since there is no possible way of wasting a guess. Every answer must move the game forward and can't be just a simple letter-check.
If a single game a day is not enough, there are a multitude of Wordle copycats out in the world. Some take the same format, such as Quordle which has players attempting four Wordle puzzles at the same time, while others mix it up completely. One of the more popular ones is Heardle, this game is essentially Name That Tune. The game provides just a single second of a popular song and players have to try to guess what the song is. Every incorrect answer unlocks an extra second or so of the song. It's another fun daily puzzle to add to an enjoyable morning routine.

Today's Wordle Answer (August 12th #419)
The August 12th Wordle answer is LABEL.
Nothing too tricky today, our starting Wordle word was IRATE, which is one of our standard go-to words. Today it only provided an incorrectly placed 'A' and 'E'. Having the vowels right off the bat is always a good thing, so for our second guess, we shifted them down a bit with MASED. This gave us the correct positions for both 'A' and 'E' and provided another chunk of incorrect letters. Our third attempt got us a little closer to the goal, we went with BAGEL. This locked in 'L' at the correct position and added 'B' in an incorrect place. Knowing there are only two spaces left it was easy to figure out where the 'B' went, this left us with 'ABEL' at the end of the word and after just a little questioning we nailed it and got a Wordle win-in-four with LABEL.
