Scoring well on an early morning possible words that end in 'ING', a few correctly placed letters will quickly give way to today's answer.
For those that prefer a more challenging game, Wordle does offer a Hard Mode which can be turned on before starting in the options menu. This mode locks in previous hints and requires a little more critical thinking to solve the daily puzzle. No longer are players allowed to use random words for the first few guesses. This does ruin the starting point for players who prefer to begin their Wordle with a combo of words to get a lot of letters on the board, but in the long run, should lower the number of guesses it takes to solve each puzzle.

Before the Wordle is spoiled we'd like to offer a few hints for those players just having a bit of trouble solving the daily word.
- Hint 1: There are no repeated letters in today's answer
- Hint 2: Today's Wordle word would be used if something seems purposely contrary to what was expected.
- Hint 3: This word is one of the rare ones that start with a vowel.
Today's Wordle Answer (August 26th #433)
The August 26th Wordle answer is IRONY.
Today's game was quite a simple one for us based simply on our chosen starting word. For this game we prefer to use the same word every day, it helps for strategies as each time we use it there is a certain outcome. Every outcome has a solid follow-up word that can be used and with daily practice, the word becomes an expected base for each of our games.
For our starting Wordle word, we used IRATE which provided three incorrect letters and, most importantly, two correct letters with 'I' and 'R'. This easily led us to the answer as there are really only a few five-letter words that begin with 'IR'; Irish, irons, and irony. Luckily we went with IRONY as the second guess and scored an easy Wordle win-in-two.
