EDITOR'S NOTE: This article is for Wordle answer #441; the September 4th Wordle answer is available now.
It's a beautiful day to solve a new few tricks with today's Wordle answer but nothing that hasn't already been done before, and most seasoned players should be able to solve it with no issues. There is always a chance that too many words will be available with the clues given, but that's usually the way it is with Wordle.
With so many Wordle, the odds of guessing a word on the first try must be astronomical, but it does happen. And quite a few players have posted their one-guess-wins on Twitter and other social media outlets. One of the best ways to actually get a single guess win is to stay consistent with the starting word. If a player uses the same starting word every day, and it's not a word that has already been used in the game, the chances of actually getting that win-in-one increase.
Today's Wordle Hints (September 3rd #441)
For those players who just need a bit of help, here are the daily hints, followed by today's fully spoiled Wordle answer.
- Hint 1: There is a single repeated letter in today's answer.
- Hint 2: Today's Wordle word is a ravine or deep channel in the land that is normally formed by water.
- Hint 3: This word is the second half of a popular 1992 animated movie starring Robin Williams and Samantha Mathis.
Today's Wordle Answer (September 3rd #441)
Today's Wordle answer is GULLY.
If the above third hint had you scratching your head, the movie was FernGully: The Last Rainforest. For our starting Wordle word today we used IRATE, which was quite an eye-opener leaving us with nothing but five incorrect letters. Whenever we get zero letters correct in our normal starting word our follow-up is always POUND. This helps cover all the major vowels and a large number of popular letters.
This combo of words only paid off with a single incorrectly placed 'U', this is where today's game got wacky. As you can see in the above picture, somehow, someway we ended up guessing the correct answer and getting that Wordle win-in-three. There is zero explanation for it, our brains were moving overtime working on 'ULLY' words, like BULLY, or FULLY. Suddenly, the movie FernGully popped up in our brains, and we went for it.
