A new day brings with it a new Wordle for fans of the game to solve. This particular day's word sits right in the middle of the difficulty scale. Depending on a player's starting guess, this could be a very quick, or painfully long attempt. It is common enough to immediately recognize, but not something used often in basic conversation. Today's Wordle is the porridge that Goldilocks chose.

There are many players who prefer more of a challenge though and one way to mitigate the difficulty in the game is to turn on Wordle's Hard Mode. This forces players to think a little more critically when solving the once-a-day puzzle and doesn't allow word combos that don't have anything to do with each other. Whenever a word is guessed the game will lock in the positive clues and those must be used in future guesses. No more mixing word combinations just to get some extra letters, forward progress is always required. Hard Mode is one of the best ways to train a player at getting a lower guess-number ratio.

Today's Wordle Answer (September 29rd #461)

Wordle September 23rd 461 Attempt

The September 23rd Wordle answer is GLORY.

For our starting Wordle word today, we used our standard, IRATE. This only gave us one incorrectly placed letter 'R'. Following that we screwed up and placed the 'R' in the exzact same spot with our second guess PROUD. This, once again, proved that the 'R' was in the wrong position and also provided a correctly placed 'O'.

Continuing on with the journey, we tried FLOOR as our third attempt, this locked in an 'L' and showed us another incorrect spot for 'R'. With really only one possible place for the 'R' we quickly figured out the word and scored a solid Wordle win-in-four with GLORY.
