A nice mix of common letters and a less common one compose the October 2nd strong starting Wordle word. This lays the foundation of the game and sets forth the first of many clues when trying to solve the once-a-day word guessing game. Using a starting word that covers multiple vowels, like "raise" or "irate," is essential in getting a good leg up on the game.
For those that prefer a more difficult challenge, Wordle does offer a Hard Mode which can be accessed through the options menu before starting the daily puzzle. This locks in clues that the player has been given previously and forces the use of letters that have been proven correct. Using Hard Mode is a good way to decrease the amount of guesses that it takes to solve the game.
Today's Wordle Hints (October 2nd #470)
Before today's Wordle answer is spoiled completely, we like to provide a few hints for players who still wish to solve it on their own, but need a little push in the right direction.
- Hint 1: There are no repeated letters in today's answer.
- Hint 2: The literal definition of this word is a strong string made up of multiple strands of cotton, nylon, or hemp twisted together.
- Hint 3: There is also an open-source software named after today's Wordle answer that is used for making interactive fiction on the internet.
Today's Wordle Answer (October 2nd #470)
Today's Wordle answer is TWINE.
For our starting Wordle word today we used IRATE which provided quite a good start. There was a correctly placed 'E' at the end, and two incorrectly placed letters, 'I' and 'T'. Mixing those two up a bit our second guess was UNTIE, this added another new letter with 'N' and showed two more incorrect spots for the previously guessed letters.
For our third attempt, we went with TINGE, this gave us the biggest piece of information yet with the correct location of 'T' and the last possible incorrect location for 'I'. Knowing all this we simply deduced that the correct answer has to be TWINE and we scored a Wordle win-in-four for the day.
