A brand new year brings brand new Wordle words to solve, and today's answer could throw a few players off their long-standing win streaks. There aren't too many tricks that today's answer uses but it does contain some lesser-used letters which could easily be forgotten when working towards the solution.
For those that prefer a harder challenge, the copycat Wordle game Quordle is also new for the new year. This game has players solving four different Wordle puzzles at the exact same time by sharing a single guess between puzzles. Luckily there are more than six chances to guess the correct letters, but even with that it's a tough nut to crack.

Today's Wordle Answer (December 29th #558)
The January 1st Wordle answer is WHINE.
A great start to the new year, another Wordle solved. For this answer, our starting Wordle word was IRATE which provided the correct location for 'E' and an incorrectly placed 'I'. Continuing onto the second guess we moved the 'I' a bit and tried SLIDE. This solidified the correct location of the 'I' but didn't add any other letters.
Our third attempt at today's Wordle had us try CHIME which added the correct placement of 'H' and nothing else. There really weren't many other choices with what letters remained, so after a bit of a thinking pause, we scored the Wordle win-in-four with the correct answer WHINE. Happy New Year!
