EDITOR'S NOTE: This article is for Wordle answer #288; the April 4th Wordle answer is available now.
The April 3rd little colored emoji boxes. Players all over the world play the game daily and covet their win streaks as a badge of honor. When getting down to the last couple of chances to get it right, some may want to find a little help, and these hints, as well as the full answer, could push players in the right direction.
Although a common word, today's Wordle answer contains some of the same tricks that other, harder, answers have used in the past. Knowing when to spot these little tricks will help out players in the long run, as well as playing the game on Hard Mode. This mode will force players into using the hints provided in past answers and requires a little more critical thinking. If a letter has been proven correct, that letter must be used in the subsequent answers. If a letter has been proven incorrect, it cannot be used at all. Knowing that Wordle is harder can actually make it easier since players can't rely on words to only gain an extra letter or two.

- Hint 2: In comparisons, this word is used to denote a smaller amount.
- Hint 3: Today's answer contains one of the top ten least used letters.
Today's Wordle Answer (April 3rd #288)
The April 3rd Wordle answer is FEWER.
Fewer is normally used to describe a small number of things, or as a comparison. Often confused with 'less', fewer is used when something is actually countable. For example, you drank less water than yesterday, versus, you drank fewer bottles of water than yesterday.
For our starting Wordle word today we used FANCY which provided only the correct placement for 'F'. For our second guess, we tried FLIPS, this only provided more incorrect letters and a little extra frustration. Our third guess was FROTH, giving us the incorrectly placed 'R' and even more incorrect letters. After a long pause and intently staring at the screen we went with our forth, and final guess, FEWER. Despite the fear of losing, knowing there were fewer letters to work with really helped out in today's Wordle.
